About the Role

We are seeking a qualified nurse or paramedic to join our team as a Police Custody Nurse or Paramedic. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality care to detainees in police custody suites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care to detainees in police custody suites
  • Work closely with police officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of detainees
  • Develop and implement individual care plans to meet the needs of detainees
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to custody healthcare
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £40,000 per year
  • A £1,000 bonus after completing 12 months of service
  • Full-time employment with a rolling rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off
  • Average estimated overtime of £3,500 per annum
  • NMC/HCPC registration paid
  • Full training provided for those with no previous forensic experience

Person Specification

  • Qualified nurse or paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field
  • Driving licence and UK residency for 3 years or more
  • Subject to police vetting
