About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Police Custody Nurse to join our team at Care & Custody - A Mitie Company. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to detainees in our custody suites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care to detainees, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with police officers and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of healthcare services.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each detainee.
  • Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and provide emergency care as needed.
  • Document all interactions and care provided in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field.
  • Valid driving license and ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends.
  • Ability to pass police vetting and maintain confidentiality.
