We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Standards Engineer to join our team in Newport, Wales. As a Senior Mechanical Technologist, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, essential services to our customers.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and enabling company-wide adoption of mechanical Technical Specifications, requirements for standard products, and Standard Drawings. This role requires a high level of understanding of mechanical technology, systems, and procedures, including DSEAR regulations.

You will work closely with our Operations, Local Asset Management, and Delivery teams to ensure compliance with our mechanical standards. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to produce a credible technical scope of work for others to follow.

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience in mechanical engineering;
  • Chartered engineer or equivalent experience;
  • Experience in design engineering would be beneficial;
  • A high level of understanding and experience of mechanical technology, systems, and procedures, including DSEAR regulations;
