About the Role

  • Work closely with children aged 4 to 16 with autism, ranging from low to high-support needs.
  • Explore how autism interacts with social, cultural, and environmental factors that shape each child's experiences.
  • Provide tailored support to help students build essential life skills, manage emotions, and make academic progress.
  • Engage with various therapeutic approaches, including sensory integration, speech and language support, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of teachers and therapists to deliver personalised education plans.
  • Be part of a supportive environment where the safety and well-being of the children are paramount.

This role will give you direct insight into how autism impacts children's development and prepare you for further training in Educational Psychology or related fields.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract.
  • Salary: £23,000 - £26,500 per year (approximately £95-£110 per day).
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (no weekends).
