Job Title: Early Years Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Northumberland. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for education and experience working alongside children and young people.

About the Role: As an Early Years Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities. You will work closely with the teaching staff to ensure the pupil receives the best possible education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure the pupil receives the best possible education and care
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with the teaching staff, parents, and carers to ensure the pupil's needs are met

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of children
  • Compassionate personality and values honesty, inclusivity, and respect
