Job Title: Social Work Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Work Assistant to join our West Kent Disabled Childrens Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of disabled children and young people, working closely with our colleagues in the Disabled Young Peoples Social Work teams and other key agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of disabled children and young people aged between 0 and 18
  • Support the role of Social Workers within the team and have an allocated caseload
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Disabled Young Peoples Social Work teams and other key agencies
  • Participate in an extensive training and development programme
  • Deliver high-quality services to young people with disabilities, their families, and carers

Requirements:

  • Experience in Childrens Services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across a large geographical area
  • Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service
