Formulation Development Team Leader

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Formulation Development Team Leader to join their team at their site in Bedford. As a key member of the formulation development team, you will be responsible for developing new cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations and managing a small team of formulation chemists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust formulations based on project briefs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring methodical experimental design, meticulous execution, and precise data analysis.
  • Document research and development activities to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Lead and support formulation development activities, including pre-clinical and clinical stage products and scale-up of potential formulations.
  • Support technology transfer of development products into commercial manufacture.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements and emerging technologies, identifying potential opportunities to drive process improvements and foster innovation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in cosmetic or pharmaceutical sciences.
  • Experience in formulation development of skincare or personal care, topical or transdermal formulations, preferably in cosmetics or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of cosmetic/pharmaceutical ingredients and their interactions.
  • Familiarity with cosmetic, medicinal, or medical device regulations.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
