We are seeking a highly skilled Formulation Development Team Leader to join our team at Atom Recruitment Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a successful Pharmaceutical and Personal Care manufacturing company.
Job Purpose:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations, managing a small team of Formulation Chemists, and ensuring the company's quality, safety, and efficacy standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, plan, and develop robust formulations from concept to commercial launch.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate methodical experimental design.
- Document all research and development activities to a high standard.
- Manage and mentor a small team of Formulation Chemists.
- Lead and support formulation development activities, including pre-clinical and clinical stage products.
- BSc (or equivalent) or higher in cosmetic or pharmaceutical sciences.
- Expert knowledge in hands-on formulation design and development of topical formulations.
- Experience in formulation development of skincare or personal care, topical / transdermal formulations.
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic / pharmaceutical ingredients and their interactions.
- Familiarity with cosmetic, medicinal, or medical device regulations.
