This role will involve providing financial support to senior management by analyzing and modeling financial performance, preparing monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgets, as well as ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

About the Role

This position requires an experienced Finance Business Partner who can provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, analyze financial data, and develop forecasts and budgets. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as experience in budget setting, variance analysis, and cost control monitoring.

  1. Analyzing and consolidating monthly accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Performing variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Preparing and reviewing monthly forecasts and annual budgets in collaboration with senior management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  4. Attending business and planning meetings to discuss financial performance and provide insights to senior management.
  5. Preparing and analyzing the impact of business decisions on financial performance.
  6. Interfacing with the annual audit process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Designing and supporting common working practices to improve financial efficiency and effectiveness.
  8. Providing specialist advice and support on financial matters to stakeholders across the organization.
  9. Supporting performance improvement initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.

About You

  • You should be a qualified Accountant with experience in a similar role in a large organization.
  • You should have excellent commercial acumen, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders around the business.
  • You should have advanced Excel skills and be proficient in financial software and systems.

Salary and Benefits: Up to £65,000 dependent on experience, plus a range of benefits including discretionary bonus, pension scheme, life assurance, income protection, digital GP service, employee assistance programme, employee discounts, and cycle to work scheme.

Location: Caerphilly - we operate a hybrid model, so you'll spend 2 days a week in the office and 3 at home as standard.
