Hoop Recruitment is a leading specialist recruitment agency, serving clients in the finance sector. We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Manager Lead to join our team.

This role offers the opportunity to take on a senior leadership position within our finance function, overseeing financial operations and providing strategic guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Transaction Oversight: Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  2. Monthly Reporting: Prepare P&L statements, manage month-end processes, and handle VAT and FCA submissions with precision.
  3. Cash Flow Monitoring: Provide regular summaries to ensure financial stability, making informed decisions to drive business success.
  4. Financial Analysis: Support business decisions with financial analysis, including tenders, acquisitions, and budgeting, using expertise to inform strategic planning.
  5. Payment Authorisation: Authorise payments, oversee credit control, and ensure settlements comply with agreements and regulations.
  6. Auditor Liaison: Act as primary contact for auditors, accountants, and bankers, ensuring compliance with FCA guidelines and maintaining strong relationships.
  7. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring productivity and adherence to processes, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements for Success:
  1. Professional Qualifications: Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial management principles.
  2. Financial Management Experience: Strong experience in financial management, ideally in an FCA regulated environment, showcasing expertise in financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Financial Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial reporting, audits, and FCA regulations, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  4. Accounting Expertise: Experience with month-end and year-end accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial reports.
  5. Sage Software Experience: Familiarity with Sage software, preferably Sage Intacct, utilising technology to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  6. Problem-Solving Skills: Calm and collected approach under pressure, using analytical skills to resolve complex financial issues.
