At London and North Western Railway Company Limited, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Maintenance Technician to join our team in Crewe. As a key member of our Heavy Maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our rail vehicles.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out maintenance and overhaul of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures
  • Working closely with the Team Leader and Heavy Maintenance Manager to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
  • Ensuring that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI and local instruction
  • Operating rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures

Requirements for the role include:

  • Experience as a mechanical fitter or equivalent, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Proven experience of working with rail traction and rolling stock, or commercial/heavy engineering
  • Understanding of Depot Operations and working knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering
