Job Title: Chief Development and Strategy Officer

The Centre for British Photography seeks a highly skilled and experienced Chief Development and Strategy Officer to join its team. As a key member of the management team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the charity's mission and vision forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan to secure the charity's permanent home.
  • Work closely with the Founding Director and Trustees to evolve and execute the overall business and strategic plan.
  • Forge strategic partnerships to advance the charity's mission and vision.
  • Manage all aspects of fundraising, including individual giving, corporate sponsorship, government grants, trusts, and foundations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years' senior level experience in a similar role within the arts, culture, and heritage sector.
  • Experience in managing large external grants and an understanding of the current financial, cultural, and political landscape.
  • Excellent administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven experience of ambitious strategic planning and execution, including researching, analysing data, forecasting future trends, and goal setting.
