Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Engaging Geography Lessons: Plan and deliver interactive lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges, utilizing creative teaching methods to make the subject accessible and captivating.
  • Individualised Learning Plans: Adapt lessons and materials to accommodate a range of abilities, learning styles, and behavioural needs, including creating differentiated lesson plans and using real-world examples to make Geography relevant and relatable.
  • Behavioural and Emotional Support: Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive, safe learning environment, building strong relationships with students and fostering mutual respect and understanding.
  • Collaboration with SEN Staff: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and support staff, to monitor student progress and address individual needs.
