DUNBAR EDUCATION is seeking a skilled PSHE Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality PSHE lessons and making a positive impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.

About the Position

This role offers the chance to work with a specialist SEN provision in Milton Keynes and provide tailored education to boys and girls aged 12-18 years with a range of additional needs.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging PSHE lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of SEN students.
  • Foster self-esteem and social skills, helping students build their independence and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create individual learning plans and adapt teaching methods.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent) and experience in PSHE or a related subject.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with SEN students, particularly those who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
  • A genuine commitment to the personal development and wellbeing of young people.
  • Understanding of SEN strategies and a creative approach to teaching.
