A new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse to work in a leading hospital in London. You will be part of a team providing a full care pathway, including medium secure and low secure units for males, as well as a mixed gender acute wing.
This role requires a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin. As a Senior Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care to individuals with mental illness and personality disorders
- Developing therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
- Adhering to codes of conduct, standards, and legislation, while respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
- Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a comprehensive plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
- Leading shifts and providing mentorship and support to student nurses and other team members
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in mental health services, evidence of post-registration continuing professional development, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices is also essential.
This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including a group Personal Pension Plan, private medical insurance, and continuous learning and development opportunities.
