Job Title: Retail Merchandiser

We are seeking a skilled Retail Merchandiser to join our esteemed client based in Bradford. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a quality product to customers and driving business growth through market data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage key Merchandising KPIs across planning, trading, and forecasting to ensure seamless product delivery to stores.
  • Work closely with customers, supply chain, product, and range teams to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Develop and implement account plans, sales plans, and customer budgets to drive business growth.
  • Evaluate financial factors, including assumptions and contingency plans, to inform business decisions.
  • Forecast sales across various levels, including total business, account, caption, and line level, to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Optimize stock allocation to meet customer plans while minimizing stock exposure.
  • Conduct top-line trading analysis to inform forward planning and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate the optimum range selection process through data-driven insights and analysis.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure effective and profitable interventions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a merchandising role or similar role within a retail or FMCG business.
  • Experience using Tableau is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent Excel, numeric, and analytical skills to identify commercial insights.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong people skills to build relationships and achieve shared objectives.
  • Commercial acumen to drive profit growth and mitigate risks.
  • Organized with a keen eye for detail, with experience in planning and forecasting sales.

This is a customer-facing role that requires strong analytical and communication skills. As a Retail Merchandiser, you will contribute to the profit plan for a specified area of responsibility and ensure all stakeholders have the right information.
