**Head of History Opportunity in Kew**

Ribbons & Reeves, a leading education recruitment agency, is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced History professional to take on the role of Head of History at a highly rated Secondary School in Kew.

This dynamic school is looking for a visionary leader who can inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in History. As Head of History, you will be responsible for leading the development of the History curriculum, ensuring that it is engaging, relevant, and meets the needs of all learners.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of teaching History at GCSE and A-Level, as well as experience of leading teams and managing budgets. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the History curriculum, ensuring that it is engaging, relevant, and meets the needs of all learners
  • Manage a team of History teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes in History, including assessment and evaluation
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to develop whole-school initiatives and policies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in History or a related subject from a top UK university
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) gained through PGCE, Schools Direct, SCITT, or Teach First
  • Proven experience of teaching History at GCSE and A-Level, with a strong track record of student achievement
  • Leadership experience, including managing teams and budgets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents

Estimated Salary:** £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
