Job Title: Engineering Manufacturing Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer / Engineering Estimator to join our precision engineering business in Norwich. This key role requires a skilled professional with a background in precision engineering and manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities- Creating accurate quotes for complex machining parts, from one-off bespoke solutions to high-volume products.
- Developing methods of manufacture for intricate components, from raw materials to complete production.
- Streamlining the quotation process to enhance speed and efficiency.
- Providing technical support to production teams to ensure products meet quality standards and cost-effectiveness.
- Offering guidance on suitable manufacturing processes for new products and providing expert advice to customers.
- HNC/HND or strong technical background in engineering/manufacturing.
- Precision engineering/manufacturing experience.
- Advanced knowledge of machining techniques (CNC & manual) including 3-axis and 2-axis systems.
- Ability to identify optimal methods of manufacture from engineering drawings or CAD models.
- Proficiency in calculating cycle times and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with planning and production capacity management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
