The successful candidate will have extensive experience in commercial roles, specifically within Hard FM maintenance contracts. This will involve strong leadership and effective time management to ensure timely submissions and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning of financial activities for minor works projects based on first principles.
  • Quality control of submitted account applications.
  • Enhanced preparation of contract interim valuations.
  • Effective preparation and submission of variation claims.
  • Comprehensive analysis of interim cost reports, including profit/loss reports.
  • Efficient submission of final account applications.
  • Comparative assessment of anticipated final costs versus final forecast recovery.
  • Collaboration with client commercial teams.
  • Timely settlement of subcontractor accounts as required.
  • Creation of subcontract documents.
  • Maintenance of RFI/COI schedules in conjunction with Contract Managers.
  • Informing clients on buying gains/losses and potential financial concerns.
  • Negotiation of rates/prices with subcontractors.
  • Regular attendance at progress/commercial meetings and representation of the company's commercial interests.
  • Development of cash flow/expenditure profiles.
  • Overseeing contract work-in-progress reduction, sales revenue, and profit targets.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in a QS role, particularly within Hard FM Maintenance contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of the market.
  • Familiarity with general building methods.
  • Exemplary communication skills.
  • Track record of managing profit and loss accounts and meeting budgetary targets.
  • Document creation and review.
  • Superior negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in IT applications (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Word).
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial and contractual issues related to Facilities Management and NEC 4.
