We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join GRAHAM ASSET MANAGEMENT LIMITED, a leading Facilities Management and Construction provider. The successful candidate will lead commercial functions on multiple Hard FM maintenance contracts in Redditch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Precise management of financial operations for minor works projects based on first principles.
  • Timely submission of account applications.
  • Accurate preparation of contract interim valuations.
  • Proper preparation and submission of variation claims.
  • A comprehensive review of interim cost reports, including profit/loss reports.
  • Timely submission of final account applications.
  • Comparison of anticipated final costs versus final forecast recovery.
  • Closely liaising with client commercial teams.
  • Prompt payment of subcontractor accounts as required.
  • Issuance of subcontract documents.
  • Maintenance of RFI/COI schedules in conjunction with Contract Managers.
  • Reporting on buying gains/losses and potential financial problems.
  • Negotiation of rates/prices with subcontractors.
  • Representation at progress/commercial meetings and the company's commercial interest.
  • Preparation and update of cash flow/expenditure profiles.
  • Management of contract work-in-progress reduction, sales revenue, and profit targets.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a QS role, particularly within Hard FM Maintenance contracts.
  • Solid knowledge of the market.
  • Familiarity with general building methods.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience managing profit and loss accounts and working to budgetary targets.
  • Initiating, drafting, and reviewing documents.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in IT applications (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Word).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Solid understanding of commercial and contractual issues in relation to Facilities Management and NEC 4.
