About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Primary Care Physician to join our team at North Staffordshire GP Federation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled healthcare professional to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Providing high-quality primary care services to patients, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and home visits.
  2. Assessing patient needs and developing effective care plans in consultation with patients and according to current practice disease management protocols.
  3. Prescribing medication in accordance with the practice formulary and clinical guidelines.
  4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and referring patients to specialist services as needed.

Training and Development:

We value the ongoing development of our staff and offer opportunities for training and education, including participation in clinical meetings and events organized by the practice or other agencies.

Patient Management:

The successful candidate will be expected to create opportunities to address patients' care needs in a timely and efficient manner, taking into account continuity of care and access to services.

They will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, reassuring them about the need to offer alternative care options where safe and appropriate, and immediately highlighting any concerns regarding safety or quality of patient care to the Clinical Director/Practice Partners/PCN Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC registration.
  • Experience working in general practice or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Salary: The salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend sessions as required.
