As a key member of the Care Services Management Team, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Service and other Team Managers to deliver high-quality services that comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of residential management experience and a deep passion for promoting equality and achieving positive outcomes for all children and young people.

You will be responsible for supervising managerial and senior residential social work staff, fostering a culture of professional practice and excellence in performance.

As a leader, you will drive continuous improvements in performance and care quality, collaborating closely with the Head of Service to develop and promote the service.

Key responsibilities include managing financial resources responsibly, ensuring sound business planning and effective financial oversight to support long-term sustainability.

We are looking for a talented and driven individual to help us achieve the best outcomes for our children, young people, and families in Buckinghamshire.

About the Role

  • Supervise and manage a team of residential social work staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve care quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Service to promote the service and drive continuous improvements.
  • Manage financial resources and ensure sound business planning.

About You

We are seeking a candidate who is qualified to Level 5 in Children's Residential Management and has a minimum of four years' post-qualification experience leading and managing dedicated teams.

You will have the expertise to ensure our residential care fully aligns with the home's Statement of Purpose, Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements, and our commitment to equality.

This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep passion for promoting equality, and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for all children and young people.

About the Service Area

Buckinghamshire is a successful, growing place with fantastic natural assets, a highly productive economy, and many resourceful and thriving communities.

We are far from complacent and our new and ambitious unitary authority is well placed to tackle the challenges associated with growth, an aging population, climate change, and inequalities in both opportunities and outcomes.

Children's Services is on an improvement journey and as our recent Ofsted report shows, we have continued to improve despite the pressures of the pandemic and have built solid foundations for future success.

We are looking for talented and driven individuals to help us achieve the best outcomes for our children, young people, and families in Buckinghamshire.
