About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs, Content Advisory Global Lead to join our global team advising on critical risks pertaining to Content legal, regulatory, and other obligations. You'll work closely with Google's Compliance, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure compliance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Translating legislation, regulations, and obligations into requirements for Compliance, Product, Business, and Engineering teams
  • Providing legal advice and subject area insights to Public Policy as they engage with Governments and Regulators
  • Engaging with governments and regulators to provide briefings, participate in negotiations, and submit disclosures

This role requires a strong understanding of complex technical issues, excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, investigative skills, and attention to detail. You'll have experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining compliance programs, managing projects, partnering with cross-functional teams, and managing global teams.

The ideal candidate has a JD or equivalent degree, admitted to the bar and in good standing or authorized to practice law in the state where the position is located. A preferred qualification is experience working with technology companies.

You'll receive a competitive salary of approximately $250,000 per year, depending on your location and experience. This salary reflects the importance of this role in ensuring Google's compliance with laws worldwide.
