About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees at Animal Free Research UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the charity's financial management and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to the Board and senior management team
  • Ensure the charity's financial activities are aligned with its strategic plans and goals
  • Oversee the preparation of the charity's annual budget and financial reports
  • Monitor and manage the charity's financial risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the charity and provide challenge and support to the Board and senior management team
Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial governance and management, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit setting
  • Strong financial skills and knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the Board, senior management team, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to financial challenges
  • Commitment to the values and mission of Animal Free Research UK
