About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Criminal Justice Recovery Worker to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting service users from point of entry into our service and throughout their treatment and recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning, as well as onward referral to ensure seamless support for our service users.
  • Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community through proactive and effective interventions.
  • Promote carer, service user, and community involvement to foster a sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Advocate for access to partnership services to ensure our service users receive the support they need.
  • Deliver Motivational Interviewing sessions to empower service users to make positive changes in their lives.
  • Ensure effective safeguarding practices are in place for children and adults, and maintain strong liaison and partnership working with external agencies.
  • Develop and deliver substance awareness programs to educate service users and the wider community.
  • Work collaboratively with service users to support social reintegration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives.
About You:

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or experience working within a similar field. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with good IT skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

  • Able to drive and possess a valid driving license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Proactive and able to work on your own initiative, with excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to manage change successfully, prioritizing the needs of service users.
  • Commitment to information governance processes and a willingness to follow and apply necessary safeguards.
  • Proactive approach to learning and development, seeking opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills.
