About the Role:

  • Support service users from initial engagement to long-term recovery, fostering a supportive environment that promotes personal growth and resilience.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop recovery plans, and facilitate referrals to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Implement strategies to reduce substance-related harm, both for individuals and the broader community, through education and outreach initiatives.
  • Promote active involvement from carers, service users, and the community, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Advocate for access to partnership services, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach to support.
  • Employ Motivational Interviewing techniques to empower service users in making informed decisions about their recovery.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and adults, adhering to safeguarding protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with law enforcement, probation, courts, and correctional facilities to ensure a cohesive response to substance misuse.
  • Provide education and awareness about substance misuse, promoting a culture of understanding and empathy.
  • Collaborate with service users to facilitate social reintegration, empowering them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives, and promoting recovery, resilience, and self-determination.

About You:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of substance misuse issues, either through experience or education, and be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Hold a valid driver's license, ensuring the ability to travel to various locations as required.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing, with a strong proficiency in IT systems.
  • Be proactive, able to work independently, and possess strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Display a supportive and collaborative team player attitude, with the ability to work effectively with diverse professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Successfully manage change, prioritizing the needs of service users and ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Understand and adhere to information governance processes, ensuring the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development, seeking opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills, and contributing to the growth and development of colleagues.
