Job Title: Civil Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Lead to join our team at Aircon Engineering Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the early design activities of a Nuclear New-Build PWR project, providing civil and structural design input, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the technical assessment of contracts prior to signature.
  • Provide technical management of the Contract(s), including being the primary point of contact for the programme's project managers.
  • Coordinate engineering design activities performed by Contract Partners in parallel work streams.
  • Manage the surveillance of Contract Partner(s) design work, in conjunction with NNB's technical management.
  • Ensure consistency of deliverables with contract technical specifications and consider Safety and UK Context requirements.
  • Lead the resolution of transverse engineering issues or risks.
  • Manage the coordination and consolidation of comments provided by stakeholders during the deliverables review process.
  • Lead discussions with Contract Partners, providing support to the NNB Project Manager with early warning and compensation events, reviewing project change requests, and providing support to the commercial lead for cost and schedule impact assessment and negotiation.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
