About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team at Tractebel Engineering S.p.A. as a Civil Engineer Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on globally recognized projects, including the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C nuclear power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse input data from clients and investigate previous calculations.
  • Perform structural calculations using Ansys software and prepare associated reports.
  • Respond to civil works contractor queries and provide clarification on design packages.
  • Analyse Request For Information (RFI) and Field Change Requests (FCR) from the site and assess their feasibility.
  • Provide quick assessments on reinforcement concrete issues and perform or adapt Ansys Finite Element Models (FEM).
Requirements
  • MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Working towards either the ICE or the IStructE.
  • Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
  • Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
  • Experience in nuclear or complex industrial projects.
  • Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and industry Standards.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite, Excel, and Word.
  • Programming skills in one or several languages are a plus.
