We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Registrar to join our Quality Assurance and Enhancement (QAE) Office at Study Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assisting the Academic Registrar and other colleagues in the central oversight of academic quality and standards across our global network.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Secretary to the Academic Board and its sub-committees, ensuring effective operation and governance.
- Work closely with Chairs of the board and committees to prepare and distribute agenda and meeting papers.
- Note and record key meeting decisions and circulate to attendees.
- Ensure all actions are reported back to the board/committees ahead of meetings.
- Draft formal minutes and prepare follow-up communications as needed.
- Monitor members' terms of appointment and provide practical advice on good governance practice.
- Engender positive working relationships with International Study Centres (ISCs) and the wider network of Study Group centres.
- Identify and communicate areas of risk and implement mitigations.
- Coordinate and attend approval events, producing reports for quality assurance/compliance decisions.
- Oversee and produce reports from monitoring submissions.
- Prepare reports, draft papers, and present at academic governance committees.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of approval and monitoring mechanisms.
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience of quality assurance or regulatory compliance within an educational organisation.
- Experience of managing, developing, and inspiring colleagues, and gaining buy-in from high-performing teams.
- Evidence of effecting cultural change and implementing new operating systems and procedures.
- Exceptional understanding of governance and decision-making processes.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with an ability to innovate.
- Ability to lead projects with a clear sense of purpose and direction.
- Proven ability to influence and challenge existing assumptions.
- Ability to establish credibility and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and operate effectively in fast-changing environments.
