After-School Club Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an After-School Club Support Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing engaging activities for children outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create a stimulating and engaging environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Work collaboratively with other after-school club staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive team.
  • Commit to the wider life of the school and the community, building positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote a safe and respectful environment.
  • Provide support for homework and reading activities, helping children to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Establish trusting relationships with pupils, interacting with them to understand their needs and provide individual support.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a similar after-school club setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • A passion for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, with a focus on child development and well-being.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs, with a commitment to providing individualized support and care.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance, with assistance provided if required.
