Specialist ASD Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist ASD Teacher to join our team at a highly regarded school in Norfolk. As a Specialist ASD Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners with autism spectrum disorder.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a small class of students with autism spectrum disorder, developing and implementing effective lesson plans tailored to their needs.
  • Lead and collaborate with teaching assistants to create a supportive and structured learning environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the curriculum and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized classroom with accessible resources to support student learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members within the classroom and throughout the school.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • Recent experience in a mainstream or specialist primary school, particularly with ASD students.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
