About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Engineering Support Manager to join our team at Brakes. As a key member of our Fleet Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet, focusing on cost management, vehicle maintenance, and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost-effective vehicle maintenance regimes to meet legal and manufacturer requirements.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure high standards and SLAs are met.
  • Oversee fleet movements and ensure compliance with business KPIs.
  • Collaborate with site management and fleet engineering teams to optimize vehicle availability.
  • Support the delivery of new build programs and manage fleet VOR for planned and unplanned activities.
  • Attend senior management review meetings to identify cost savings and best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure cooperation, compliance, and efficiency.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in fleet management and operations. You will have a Certificate of Competence in Road Transport Operations and a Mechanical Engineering qualification, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. You must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
