Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Engineering Support Manager to join our team at Brakes, the UK's largest foodservice supplier. As a key member of our Fleet Engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet, supporting the delivery of new build programs, and driving cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective fleet management strategies to optimize vehicle utilization, reduce costs, and improve safety.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality services and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to fleet engineers and operations teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports to track fleet performance, costs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, repair, and replacement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure fleet engineers and operations teams have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fleet management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, repair, and replacement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop insights to inform business decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
