About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager in a dual-registration home. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the daily management of two dual-registered homes, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and security.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans for children in our care, working closely with the management team and external agencies.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and timely records, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in supervision sessions and appraisal processes, working collaboratively with the management team to achieve our goals.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the service needs or as directed by the Registered Manager or Group Operations Director.
Requirements
  • Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • A qualification such as CQSW/DipSW/NVQ 4 in Care or Management, Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential.
  • Must have at least one year of management experience and two years in a children's residential setting or similar residential services.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Must possess a full UK driving licence.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
