We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Deputy Manager at Family Care Group. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding for children in our residential settings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Registered Manager in the daily management of our homes, ensuring that all aspects of care and support are delivered to the highest standards. This will include contributing to the Care Planning process, maintaining accurate records, and upholding strict confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding for children in a dual-registration home.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in the daily management of two dual-registered homes, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and security.
  • Contribute to the Care Planning process for children in our care by attending and preparing for children's conferences, reviews, planning meetings, and core group sessions.
  • Maintain all records according to company policies, regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all duties and information encountered.
  • Participate in supervision sessions and appraisal processes.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • A qualification such as CQSW/DipSW/NVQ 4 in Care or Management, Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential.
  • Must have at least one year of management experience and two years in a children's residential setting or similar residential services.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Must possess a full UK driving licence.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
