We are currently seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to join our team on the Elective Orthopaedic Ward at Swansea Bay University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with orthopaedic conditions.
As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in maintaining quality care and contributing to the pre- and post-operative preparation and recovery of our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include carrying out assigned clinical and care tasks related to direct patient care, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
You will also be involved in recording vital signs, manual handling, infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and hydration & nutrition checks. Additionally, you will support the Registered/Assistant Practitioner in delivering quality care based on patient needs.
We welcome applications from individuals who possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Welsh language skills are desirable, but not essential.
The estimated salary for this position is £22,000 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care, we encourage you to apply.
