About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Visitor/Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality health visiting services to children and families in the Reading area.
Key Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure seamless delivery of services for children and families within the community.
- Assessing child and family needs, using appropriate assessment and risk tools, and ensuring that at each contact with a child, an assessment of their health and development needs is conducted.
- Supporting breastfeeding and parent-infant relationships, applying Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
- Ensuring that advice, support, and services provided take account of clients' or families' race, culture, religion, and language.
- Full knowledge and understanding of Local Safeguarding Board Procedures and Trust guidelines, exercising vigilance regarding vulnerable families and responding as necessary.
- Working closely with local authority colleagues.
