About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Visitor to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify the health and development needs of children and families, using evidence-based tools and frameworks.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to support the health and wellbeing of children and families, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and agencies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on breastfeeding and parent-infant relationships, applying the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
  • Ensure that services are delivered in a way that is sensitive to the needs of diverse communities, taking account of race, culture, religion, and language.
  • Work closely with local authority colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication.

Requirements
  • Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) active on the NMC register.
  • Previous experience managing cases where a child has a protection plan.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
