About the Role

This is a full-time post in the Bridgwater Community Mental Health service, based in Glanville House, in the heart of Bridgwater. As a senior psychiatric service provider, you will work closely with community mental health teams for three GP surgeries in the Bridgwater and Burnham area.

Main Responsibilities

The core Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) works collaboratively with the wider community mental health service, providing senior psychiatric services to patients under the care of the Bridgwater Adult Community Mental Health team (CMHT). Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing senior psychiatric services to community mental health teams
  • Working closely with therapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, mental health nurses, and other professionals to support patients and colleagues
  • Participating in patient consultation, professionals' meetings, care planning, referral meetings, and multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Liaising with inpatient services for planning admissions and discharges
