Clinical Specialist Community Learning Disability Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Community Learning Disability Nurse to join our team at Sirona care & health CIC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities and their carers.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage the health needs of adults with learning disabilities, providing expert advice and guidance to other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain expertise in specific clinical areas, providing leadership and operational support to the team.
- Provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff and students, promoting best practice and ensuring high-quality care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and organizations to ensure effective implementation of clinical interventions and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of the SALDHS service, promoting positive change and innovation.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Highly competent clinical reasoning skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people with learning disabilities, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- A high level of effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and manage own caseload and delegate work appropriately.
- Significant experience of core areas of LD Community Nursing, including community settings and LD/Autism/Epilepsy/PWLD.
- Current NMC registration and documented evidence of CPD in accordance with NMC recommendations.
- Diploma/degree in LD Community Nursing and evidence of study at Masters level or willingness to undertake.
