POSITION SUMMARY

What’s the Role?

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new opening and play a crucial role in establishing the floor operations and infrastructure. As the Floor Manager, you will collaborate with the General Manager to ensure seamless planning, recruitment, and execution for this new location. You will work alongside the New Openings Manager to implement the service system and develop the standards for the location and the team.

In this position, you will oversee a team of approximately 13 floor colleagues, working closely with the venue leadership team and our operations director to drive colleague development and ensure the company meets its succession planning goals.

Your leadership will transform the typical approach to the casual environment, providing unparalleled service and delivery in the competitive socializing landscape, raising the standards of everything we do.

On a daily basis, you will coordinate service between the bar, floor, kitchen, and hosts, constructing the operational plan and overseeing all elements of service execution.

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly experienced Floor Manager candidate with a background in high-volume operational businesses. You should be a dynamic thinker, passionate about people—both guests and colleagues—with exceptional attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to energize a team to deliver are essential.

Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food and beverage environment is required, and experience in another competitive socializing concept is desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will encompass, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily floor operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Implement standard operating procedures for floor colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain front-of-house equipment and utensils.
  • Execute service and game delivery according to operational guidelines.
  • Coordinate with bar and kitchen departments for optimal performance.

Team Development:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor floor colleagues, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage performance reviews effectively.
  • Schedule and manage shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Promote effective communication among front-of-house colleagues.
  • Support colleague development through ongoing training.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Guest Experience:

  • Ensure all food and drinks are served and presented to the highest standard.
  • Continuously strive to achieve the service excellence standards.
  • Monitor guest feedback and adjust service as needed.
  • Engage with colleagues to gather feedback and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain a focus on providing exceptional experiences for all guests.
  • Ensure the venue and atmosphere are always at the highest standard.

Financial Management:

  • Support the management of departmental budgets, including labor and consumable costs.
  • Monitor and control inventory, minimizing waste and managing stock levels.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial targets.
  • Implement cost control measures without compromising quality.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on initiatives to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Support the execution of key seasonal promotions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, maintaining the reputation for service excellence.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required reports promptly.
  • Manage documentation, including recipes, training materials, and safety procedures.
  • Oversee safety and hygiene audits.
  • Support collaboration with local suppliers in line with our strategy.

  • Experience in a similar high-volume operational role is desirable.
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
  • A keen eye for detail with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proven track record of developing talent and mentoring team members.
