As a Residential Childcare Specialist for Challenging Young Adults, you will be part of a dedicated team supporting vulnerable youngsters in a 5-bed home based in South West London.



This role offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for professionals who can provide a safe and supportive environment for young people to thrive. The home caters to 11-17 year olds with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), requiring a high level of emotional intelligence, resilience, and strong communication skills.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Supporting young people with their daily needs, including personal care, education, and community activities
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with young people, built on trust, empathy, and understanding
  • Working collaboratively with the team to ensure the overall well-being and safety of young people
  • Providing guidance and support to help young people manage their emotions, behaviour, and relationships


Requirements:


  • 3 years of experience working with young people with challenging behaviour in a residential care setting
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young people with EBD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people and colleagues
  • Physical and mental strength to cope with the demands of the role

Salary Estimate:

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
