Fabric Engineering Specialist

KPA Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Fabric Engineering Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing engineering support and information to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support and information for the Engineers and Engineering Manager to support machinery breakdown repairs, maintenance, and development of the manufacturing operations and business needs.
- Assess, repair, maintain, and develop machinery and equipment, researching and data collecting as applicable.
- Assess project requirements and drive projects through to completion, producing relevant reports to applicable teams and presenting solutions in a structured format.
- Provide manufacturing support relating to plant/process efficiency, safety, and product quality as directed by the Engineering Manager.
- Ensure engineering workshop procedures and equipment are developed and maintained satisfactorily, adhering to related environment, health, and safety issues, standards, and policies.
- Liaise with suppliers to achieve optimum solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience of PLCs - Siemens Type S5 and S7.
- Experience of working with Eurotherm and Uni Drives.
- Time served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
- 17th Edition Electrical Installation.
- BTEC or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
- Multi-skilled in both mechanical/electrical disciplines.
- Ability to fault find on hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to use workshop machinery, i.e., lathes, jigs, milling machines.
Salary and Benefits: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus excellent benefits package including pension scheme, life insurance, and paid holiday entitlement.
Working Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-4:00pm. May involve shift working in the future.
