The Role: Director, Quantitative Biomarkers

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead quantitative biomarker research within our oncology therapeutic area. As the Director, Quantitative Biomarkers, you will guide multidisciplinary teams responsible for developing and executing biomarker strategies that support preclinical and clinical programs. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and validating biomarkers that predict treatment response, disease progression, and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive biomarker strategies across all stages of drug development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, clinicians, biostatisticians, and regulatory affairs specialists, to integrate biomarkers into clinical trial design and data analysis.
  • Oversee the selection, validation, and qualification of biomarkers using state-of-the-art technologies and analytical methods.
  • Analyze biomarker data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform drug development decisions.
  • Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions related to biomarker research findings.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in biomarker discovery and validation techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or M.D. in a relevant field such as oncology, molecular biology, genetics, or biostatistics.
  • Extensive experience in quantitative biomarker research, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design and data analysis methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
