Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing Sector. As a key member of our Facilities Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Planned and Reactive Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure maximum productivity.
  2. Collaboration with Engineering Team: Work closely with the engineering team to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall plant performance.
  3. Preventative Maintenance: Utilize Pirana CMMS to create and manage preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  4. Communication and Liaison: Effectively communicate with production teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and adherence to health and safety standards.
  5. Spares Management: Assist with the management and maintenance of spare parts, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing stockouts.
  6. Housekeeping and Continuous Improvement: Maintain high standards of housekeeping and participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance plant efficiency and reduce waste.
  7. Project Support: Provide maintenance and installation support for projects as required by management.
  8. Facilities Support: Collaborate with the facilities department to enhance understanding of plant-based equipment and systems.
Requirements
  1. Time-Served Engineer: Possess a strong multi-skilled skillset and a time-served engineering background, ideally to HND/degree level.
  2. Proven Experience: Demonstrate proven experience in maintenance within a high-volume, highly regulated environment.
  3. Complex Equipment Experience: Proven experience in dealing with complex manufacturing equipment, including robot programming and PLC interrogation.
  4. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of DC tooling, barcode scanning, material handling, electrical testing, and vision systems, as well as plastic welding (heat stake and ultrasonic).
