About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at Beechwood College, a specialist residential education service for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions, learning disabilities, and complex behavioural presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) within Beechwood College, ensuring high-quality services in educational and residential provisions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based programs for the delivery of interventions by the MDT, including Applied Behaviour Analysis and positive behavioural support.
  • Ensure clinical input is integrated with educational delivery, supporting identified learning outcomes for young people within the service.
  • Provide practice leadership throughout the college, responding to clinical situations arising on site during working hours.
  • Ensure compliance with the Mental Capacity Act code of practice and appropriate identification and triage of capacity assessments requiring a clinical decision maker.

Person Specification

  • HCPC/NMC registration in a relevant profession (Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Social Work).
  • Specialist postgraduate training and experience in problems related to individuals with autism spectrum conditions, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities.
  • Training in the application of the Mental Capacity and Mental Health Acts, and statutory safeguarding practices as relevant to this population.
