Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Iris Care Group as a Clinical Lead for Autism and Behavioural Support. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician to provide strategic and clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary team (MDT) and ensure the delivery of high-quality services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the MDT, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions and promoting a positive approach to challenging behaviour.
- Develop and implement a coherent and evidence-based programme for the delivery of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) interventions.
- Work closely with education staff to ensure that clinical input is integrated with educational delivery and supports identified learning outcomes for young people.
- Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy to individuals with ASC and learning disabilities, reflecting relevant knowledge and understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
- Provide expert consultation and advice to ICG clinical staff on the management and support of individuals with ASC in all ICG sites.
- Contribute to the development of local team policies and procedures to facilitate improvements in service quality.
- Train other professionals and contribute to the training of Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
- Utilise specialised research skills for audit, policy, and service development, and research.
We are looking for a senior clinician with:
- Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and neuropsychology.
- Specialist post-doctoral training and experience in problems related to individuals with ASC, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities.
- At least six years of experience working as a qualified psychologist within a clinical speciality providing significant clinical exposure to individuals with ASC and learning disabilities.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings.
- Ability to identify, provide, and promote appropriate means of support to carers and staff exposed to highly distressing situations and severely challenging behaviours.
- Ability to develop and use complex multi-media materials for presentations in public, professional, and academic settings.
