Main Responsibilities- Work in the Child Health Directorate with clinicians to provide a highly developed and effective service for children and young people with epilepsy.
- Coordinate, plan, deliver, and manage the healthcare needs of patients, working effectively and efficiently with children, parents/carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Act as a recognised expert in the field of epilepsy nursing, providing professional leadership and supporting colleagues to promote excellence in care.
- Develop and deliver innovative and evidence-based practice, contributing to the management of a quality and cost-effective service.
University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is a state-of-the-art hospital development that serves the population of Staffordshire and beyond, with both local and specialist tertiary services. Our Child Health Directorate is a multifaceted and dynamic unit, comprising a regional Children's Critical Care Unit, an acute Medical ward, and a surgical inpatient ward.
Person Specification- Current children's nursing registration: RSCN/Project 2000/RN-Child.
- Degree level nursing/health-related studies.
- Mentorship or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years post-registration experience, including at least 5 years' experience providing Epilepsy care.
- Experience of supporting child and family learning and use of competency-based assessments.
- Ability to prioritise workload in response to service need.
