About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Investigator to join our Initial Investigations Team at Sussex Police. As an Investigator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective investigation of crimes, providing support to victims, and contributing to the overall success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate crimes, gathering evidence and identifying lines of inquiry to ensure thorough and efficient investigations.
  • Provide support and guidance to victims, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance and information throughout the investigation process.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to share intelligence and best practices, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our investigations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners, including other law enforcement agencies, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying current with emerging trends and technologies.
