We are seeking an experienced School Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Ongo Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the school's facilities to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine repairs, minor works, and general upkeep to ensure the school is well-maintained.
  • Oversee site security, including closing the school buildings and monitoring security systems.
  • Conduct regular checks of fire safety equipment, play areas, and other facilities to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain outdoor spaces, including gardens, pathways, and playgrounds.
  • Manage cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Provide practical assistance during school events and support staff with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities management role, with basic DIY and maintenance skills. You must hold a current DBS and have a good understanding of health and safety regulations.

Benefits

This role offers an estimated salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team, providing a positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.
